The conference location is in a landmark Portuguese forest (Mata do Bussaco, a managed forest since the XVII century) in the center of Portugal, a region that was tragically devastated by wildfires in 2017.
We believe the conference, with the support of the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology through project O3F – An Optimization Framework to reduce Forest Fire (https://o3f.dps.uminho.pt), will result in a vision of the state-of-the-art and the identification of emergent topics in O&W, affirming the relevance and potential of Operational Research, Optimization and related areas in wildfire management.
The deadline for the submission of abstracts (max 1500 characters) is May 31st, 2024.
